Phyllis Weil, has just released her first book, Come Forth As Gold. Centered on her two years while living in Jerusalem, Israel, Weil has shared her walk with God in this open and honest book.
In 1984, Phyllis took a tour of the Holy Land with her church group in CT and what followed was a series of fascinating events which led to her living there. The Rector of her church has written the following about this work:
"We found Phyllis' book to be an inspiration. It is a testament to the power of God working in someone's life when they completely surrender to His will. It is encouraging and uplifting." -- The Rev. Dr. & Mrs. Everett L. Fullam
Introduction excerpt from the book:
Standing on my balcony (or "mirpesset," as it is called in Hebrew), I looked out upon a most incredible scene . . . the Mount of Olives and, at the foot of that hallowed hill, the Kidron Valley winding its way up to the Garden of Gethsemane . . . the Temple Mount with its brightly colored Dome of the Rock on the other side of the valley in the Old City of Jerusalem!
As I gazed on these ancient sites, I reflected on what had brought me so far from my home. How blessed I felt, how totally in the hands of my Father. My life had gone through such enormous changes this past year. For that matter, my life had gone through enormous changes for a good deal longer than that . . .
